VPF On Boarding

Get started by logging into the applications and services used at VPF Tim

Before You Start

  1. Register for your Kerberos account (You will need to know your MIT ID number)
  2. Setup MIT Two Factor Authentication using the DUO app on your cell phone
  3. Log into OWA and send an MIT email to VPF Tech to let us know you can access your MIT email and any tech questions you might have.

First Day

  1. Log into computer using user's Kerberos username, password, and GlobalProtect VPN
  2. Renew your MIT Personal Certificates
  3. Sign into a Slack workspace
  4. Log into Zoom
  5. Set your voicemail
  6. Forward your office phone
  7. Sign into Code42, and learn about VPF's Backup Policy

Second Day

(Some permissions take 24 hours to propogate)

  1. Sign into Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Optional Activities

  1. Sign up for Docusign
  2. Sign up for LastPass password manager
  3. Log into WebEx
  4. Install Office 365 on your home computer
